Girl’s Speech Showcase: Adelynn Medawar

April 4, 2020 by Guest Author Leave a Comment

Editor’s Note: So many girls across the country have been preparing speeches for the Lads to Leaders convention and were unable to give them because it was cancelled. We are spending the next few weeks celebrating the hard work of these young ladies by sharing their speeches with you! We are so incredibly proud of them and know that you will be encouraged and uplifted by their words.

Have you ever lost something important to you?  Maybe a favorite toy, book, or your special blankie?  When we lose things that are dear to us, we miss them very much.

In the Bible, Jesus tells us about a woman who lost a coin.  Luke chapter 15 says she cleans the house and searches until she finds it.  When finally she finds it, she rejoices with all her friends and neighbors.

I know that when I lose something important and then find it, I want to celebrate too!

Don’t you think finding Jesus should be more important than anything?  We have been given a life to live and we ought to not waste this life searching for things like money and other selfish wants.  Finding Jesus is the the ultimate thing we must do in our lives.  It takes time and a lot of commitment, but there’s no bigger celebration than when we find Jesus and choose to obey Him!  The bible tells us that even the angels in heaven rejoice when one sinner repents.

Thankfully, Jesus will always be there for us if we lose our way.  He’s never hiding, and he wants us to find Him.  He loves us and is waiting for the moment that we choose to become a Christian and follow Him.

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
