Character Development

March 31, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

I love the game of basketball, there's something therapeutic about running up and down the court, battling for position, defending the lane from penetration, blocking a shot, earning a few fouls, throwing a couple elbows (did I say that?), hearing the sswwiisshhhh of the ball breezing through the … [Read more...]

To Spank

March 29, 2011 by Guest Author 8 Comments

To spank, or not to spank.  Why is it even questioned? Oh the joy of having someone tell you that your parenting skills are controversial. It has been a challenge for me, some days I was able to gracefully handle the concern, and other times, I just walked away without a word, fearing the angry … [Read more...]

Letters to Lucinda

How would you feel to lose your freedom, to have no choice in daily plans—where you would live, what you would wear, what you would eat, where you could go, with whom you could associate? What would it be like to have no Christian association, no Christian fellowship, and only a discouraging … [Read more...]

Could You Walk in These Shoes?

Meet Mama #1: She is the only Christian in her family. She's 45 years old and has four children. When her husband found out that she was worshiping with the Lord's people, he forbade her to go.  He insisted that she attend the Catholic church.  She worked around that and worshiped with the Lord's … [Read more...]

Open to the Plan

March 23, 2011 by Guest Author 1 Comment

There is a whole world that revolves around organizing “stuff,” allowing us to manage our time. We have all seen or heard of the shows that help us de-junk and re-evaluate the things we have brought into our homes. Yet as much as these people come up with ways to organize life, all of us are … [Read more...]

“Pick a little, talk a little, pick a little, Talk a little, cheep cheep cheep, talk a lot, pick a little more” You might recognize this if you have seen the musical, “Music Man”.  This song is supposed to be a funny picture of several women looked at through the eyes of a man while they are … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
