To Court, or not to Court?

May 16, 2012 by Lacy Crowell 23 Comments

A few weeks ago, I walked into Wednesday night worship to find one of our teen guys alone on a pew.  His eyes were red and his shoulders were slumped as he sat in complete dejection.  His girlfriend had just broken up with him, & had broken his heart along with the relationship.  This young man … [Read more...]

A Convert to Courtship

May 14, 2012 by Guest Author 11 Comments

“You have to kiss a lot of frogs to catch a prince.” This was my understanding on how you go about finding a mate.  Dating was the norm. I grew up like most; my parents had an age requirement that we had to be 16 before we could start dating. Of course all the while my goal was to date for marriage. … [Read more...]

The other day I was thinking back when “the skinny jean” first came out. My sisters and I snuck into the dressing room, giggling trying them on... “Bahahaha! They’re like Mom-jeans! This tapered leg is so unflattering-who’s rear doesn’t look big in them?!” We talked about the ugliness of the 80’s, … [Read more...]

Self-Esteem Demonstrated

May 2, 2012 by Guest Author 5 Comments

Our final lesson on self-esteem is going to be very Bible heavy which is only fitting since my last article pointed out our dependency on God’s word to develop proper self-esteem. Our goal as Christians is to follow Christ’s example and imitate Him in every facet of our life and when it comes to … [Read more...]

Singing for a Purpose

April 30, 2012 by Guest Author 1 Comment

Can singing affect my spiritual relationship with the Lord? Would singing praises to my King even outside of the worship service actually help bring more of the peace of Christ to dwell in my heart? I didn’t realize that the Word of God consistently taught that regularly singing … [Read more...]

Self-Esteem Designed by God

April 25, 2012 by Guest Author 5 Comments

One of my favorite aspects of God’s character is that He is a builder. The Bible opens and closes with this view of God. We meet Him in the first chapter of Genesis building a universe from nothing. The Bible ends with a description of the fantastic home in heaven that He has built for us. God’s own … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
