Respect in Communication

February 29, 2012 by Erynn Sprouse 16 Comments

Think for just a moment about some of our culture’s favorite TV shows. How are the men portrayed? The typical TV father is a bumbling fool who doesn’t actually care much about his kids or his wife. He’s self-centered, oblivious of those around him and has to be bailed out of a jam every episode. Now … [Read more...]

If You Want It Done Right, Do it Yourself

February 27, 2012 by Guest Author 7 Comments

There are some things in this life we must do that nobody else can do for us, in order to be right. No one can study for a test for you, no one can take a test for you, and no one can do your exercising for you, except you!  If my son studied really hard for his sister's test, what kind of grade do … [Read more...]

Respect in the Bedroom

February 22, 2012 by Erynn Sprouse 22 Comments

Warning: this article is best for MARRIED EYES ONLY. One of my husband’s and my favorite books on marriage is “His Needs, Her Needs” by Willard F. Harley. In the book, Harley relates that in counseling sessions, he would often advise women clients to make love with their husband every day for a … [Read more...]

Show vs. Tell

February 20, 2012 by Guest Author 2 Comments

Most of us remember show-and-tell day in elementary school. It was pretty much the highlight of my young existence. When the teacher said we could bring in anything we wanted--oh wow! All sorts of pets from cats and dogs to iguanas came to visit our classroom. Perhaps Dad’s hard hat or Mom’s … [Read more...]

The Need for Respect

February 15, 2012 by Erynn Sprouse 6 Comments

“Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.” Ephesians 5:33 This verse sums up Paul’s instructions from 5:22 and on. Here the Holy Spirit, through Paul, hits on the number one need each spouse … [Read more...]

Trusting in the Lord

February 13, 2012 by Guest Author 2 Comments

At times I wonder, "Do I really trust God?" This has been on my mind quite a bit this past year because I have tried off and on to write this article but every time, I talk myself out of it. It isn’t a great topic, it’s not good enough, no one will read it, and I’m scared of who will read and what … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
