Patient With God

December 29, 2011 by Lacy Crowell 2 Comments

Lately, I have begun to notice an alarming trend in myself.   I am ashamed that there have been times that one of my children would ask me for something while I was busy, to which I would respond, “in a minute”.  If that child were to exhibit impatience, the child would be corrected.  Yet there have … [Read more...]

Principles for Successful Motherhood, Part 5

One thing that does not come very easy for me is exercise.  It's not that I don't enjoy it once I start, but it's just hard for me to make it a habit.  But the truth of the matter is this:  if I don't do anything about it, I cannot expect to have the results I desire.  That's the bottom line.  If I … [Read more...]

Security System Pitfalls

December 26, 2011 by Guest Author Leave a Comment

Several weeks ago, my husband and I encountered something very frightening. We discovered evidence of an attempted break in at our home. As we opened our front door, it appeared that someone had tried to pry out each of the door hinges. We immediately called the police to file a report and began to … [Read more...]

Principles of Successful Motherhood, Part 4

December 21, 2011 by Guest Author 2 Comments

From the beginning of time God has expected families to focus on Him. We are familiar with such characters as Noah, Abraham and Job ...all righteous men who were concerned about the spiritual well-being of their families. Deuteronomy 6:7 the Jews were told to teach their children when they arose in … [Read more...]

God’s Precious Gift: Sister-Love

December 20, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

I am the youngest of three children, and the ONLY girl. Some of you probably know what that means to you, but for me, it meant survival! I learned how to get out of wresting holds early, learned how to swim by threat, and developed a habit of “hit first.” Perhaps that is not fair; they were … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
