God: Perfect Attendance Record, Promise Keeper, Hands of Hope

April 28, 2011 by Guest Author 1 Comment

Editor's note: This post is especially fitting today considering all the destruction that has occurred due to tornadoes. Please as you pray, remember those who have lost so much in recent days. If you are one who has lost much, perhaps these scriptures will give you some comfort. Today I would like … [Read more...]

Be a Good Girl and Wait

April 27, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

A fidgety, wiggly and awkward kid, I always needed ways to occupy an overactive imagination, especially during those moments in life when my parents really needed me to be a good girl and wait. Thinking back, I’m not sure which part of that phrase vexed me more—the “wait” or the “be a good girl.” … [Read more...]

Did You Hear the One About…

April 26, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

I like a good, clean joke, and I love to hear any of my grandsons tell me a good knock-knock joke. I have been known to tell a joke or two; but more often than not, my blonde roots show, and I need to have the jokes explained to me by my husband or one of my sons…and even then it may take me a day … [Read more...]

The Spiritual Head to Toe Assessment

April 25, 2011 by Guest Author 5 Comments

There are so many things I love about being a nurse! I get paid to take care of people, I am commended if I do so with compassion and kindness and on a daily basis I learn something that strengthens my faith in God. Some days, like today, I am inspired by what I do to write! Okay this is the first … [Read more...]

The Origin of David’s Sin: His Birth or His Life?

April 21, 2011 by Guest Author 2 Comments

When babies are born, are they inherently evil, or are they innocent? A baby certainly seems to have a “selfish” nature, and on particularly difficult days we may be tempted to say the little thing has a demon! To some, the Psalms are a source of confusion concerning people and the condition in … [Read more...]

H.A.L.T. and C.E.A.S.E.

April 20, 2011 by Erynn Sprouse 6 Comments

We all have disagreements from time to time with our spouses. We get irritated about silly things and hurt over important things. We injure each other by accident and sometimes from carelessness. How we handle these hurts, injuries and wounds has a great deal to do with whether they become … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
