Twenty-eight Days to Put on Love

February 2, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

In fitting with the twenty-eight days of February, I thought it would be fun to look at some old love-sonnets and verses. It would be fun to share the verses with our husbands or even to secretly practice them.  Remember the day when your husband said, “Come live with me and be my love”?  He may not … [Read more...]

Goose Sense

January 31, 2011 by Guest Author 4 Comments

Sometime last year my husband had the opportunity to share a lesson with our local congregation.  He has one prepared that I like to call "old faithful".  Rarely does he get the chance to present a lesson, but when he does, this is the one he pulls out.  I really like this lesson, not only because … [Read more...]

Here We Are But Straying Pilgrims

January 27, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

“Here we are but straying pilgrims,” the line of an old hymn came to mind as my husband, mother, and I visited our American heritage sites in and around Boston this fall.  Reserving our last day to take the commuter train the 40 miles down to Plymouth for a short day trip, we had our day planned … [Read more...]

In last week’s article we spent our time looking at the Scriptural reasons for improving our Bible study.  This week, let us look at five practical ways of doing just that. Set a specific time of day to study. This can be hard because there are a lot of things to take into consideration.  For … [Read more...]

Where is My Faith?

January 24, 2011 by Guest Author 2 Comments

It was a fisherman’s worst nightmare. The Sea of Galilee was notorious for being calm and serene one minute, and a deathtrap the next for unfortunate souls who happened to be out working the nets. It is hard to say which was worse, being caught by a gale while dragging the nets at night, or being … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
