A Dozen and One Ways to Reach Out

January 11, 2011 by Erynn Sprouse 6 Comments

Ask your friends why they do what they do in religious practice. Why take the Lord’s Supper once a quarter? Why does the man giving the lesson call himself Reverend? Many have not ever considered why things are done as they are. If their practices are not based on Bible teaching, it may draw … [Read more...]

Why Should I Attend?

January 10, 2011 by Guest Author 2 Comments

Why do I go to church?  Why should you?  Following is a list of some of the reasons I believe church attendance is so important: Let's talk priorities... what are yours?  Matthew 22:37-39 states "...thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy … [Read more...]

Practical Encouragement

January 6, 2011 by Kristy Huntsman 3 Comments

In one of his books, the well-known Scottish scholar William Barclay wrote, “One of the highest of human duties is the duty of encouragement. . . . It is easy to laugh at [human] ideals; it is easy to pour cold water on their enthusiasm; it is easy to discourage others. The world is full of … [Read more...]

The Wise Man… What?

January 3, 2011 by Guest Author 6 Comments

Most reading this are probably familiar with Jesus’ analogy about “the two builders.”  In Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus creates a word picture for the people.  He describes a wise man who “built his house on the rock.”  The rain fell, the floods came, the winds were fierce and threatened to blow it over, … [Read more...]

From the Heart of an Older Woman: Lay Down Your Life

December 30, 2010 by Tami Roberts 4 Comments

As I bring this series to a close I wanted to share what I believe to be the best advice I can give a younger woman, have a RELATIONSHIP with God. I mean a real relationship, like you would with a best friend or better yet, with your husband. A relationship where you talk and share all of your … [Read more...]

Making Resolutions That Matter

December 29, 2010 by Lacy Crowell 8 Comments

It certainly didn’t take me very long this year.  It is not even New Year’s yet and I have already broken a resolution!  This year I had resolved to NOT make any resolutions. The typical, “lose weight, be a better housekeeper, get up earlier for a more productive day, etc.” have gotten kind of old … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
