From The Heart of an Older Woman: Did You Know I Was There, Lord?

November 4, 2010 by Tami Roberts

The discipline topic leads right into training your children for worship. I’m not sure that I actually “worshipped” the Lord from about 1980 until about 1992. I felt like I spent most of that time taking children in and out of worship service. Sometimes I wondered if God even knew I had been in … [Read more...]

Bless This Nest

November 3, 2010 by Guest Author 3 Comments

Autumn is falling all around us. God in His infinite wisdom allows His creation a time to wind down and relax. This time of the year makes me feel more relaxed and calm, too. The crunching of the leaves and the coolness in the air all aid in a tranquil atmosphere. God is an exceptional and … [Read more...]

Respecting Our Elders

November 2, 2010 by Guest Author 11 Comments

We live in a time where teenagers and even people up to their mid-twenty’s act very disrespectfully to their parents and people older than them. Since we know how to use the latest devices and we know the newest styles, we think that we know more than they do. So we do not come to them when we need … [Read more...]

I Sprayed Windex On The Brownies

November 1, 2010 by Guest Author 5 Comments

In a recent conversation with my sister-in-law, we were discussing how frustrating it can be to lose weight. She and I have always shared in our endeavors to eat well and exercise, but it is not easy for either of us. We have been on countless “fad” diets, watching calories, watching carbs, but we … [Read more...]

From the Heart of an Older Woman: There’s More To it Than a Hug and a Kiss!

October 28, 2010 by Tami Roberts 6 Comments

I have five children; the youngest is 21. I have done daycare for dozens of children. So I have had the opportunity to “experiment” on multiple children.  My children all have a strong love for the Lord. I have been told how lucky I am that my children turned out that way. I always respond … [Read more...]

Are We Builders or Destroyers?

October 27, 2010 by Guest Author 3 Comments

"To make one’s voice sweet, one’s face bright, one’s will steady, one’s patience unperturbed, in the arena of the home, in the light of one’s own family, is no light task.” –Margaret Sangster I came across this quote and it really made me think. Do I make my home a happy place to be? Do I have as … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
