The Hardest Scripture

February 9, 2011 by Lacy Crowell 2 Comments

If I were to ask you what the hardest Scripture in the Bible is, what would you say?  To me, that answer is very easy.  In my opinion, the hardest Scripture in the Bible is Matthew 10:37 which reads, “Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or … [Read more...]

A Dozen and One Things to Send to a Foreign Missionary

February 8, 2011 by Erynn Sprouse 6 Comments

Excerpt from “Lord Give Me Pretty Feet” by Cindy Sue Baker, page 138-39: “Packages and letters, the joy of receiving little remembrances of home, are invaluable (even if they are ‘material things’)… It doesn’t always have to be something big. Even the little tokens of home are a treat!... These … [Read more...]

An Epidemic of Happiness

February 7, 2011 by Guest Author 8 Comments

"As long as you're happy." seems to be a common theme in our culture. We seek happiness at every turn. In every part of our lives we strive to make ourselves, and those we love, happy. What if I told you that I care very little about your happiness? The truth is, my goal for the people around me … [Read more...]

Why Worry?

February 3, 2011 by Guest Author 2 Comments

I’ll admit, I’m something of a worrywart. As a junior in high school, I’d say I’m at a decently unsettling point in my life. After all, in a few years, I’ll be headed off into that black abyss the rest of the world calls “adult life.” That’s a little disconcerting. I’m faced with a ton of … [Read more...]

Twenty-eight Days to Put on Love

February 2, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

In fitting with the twenty-eight days of February, I thought it would be fun to look at some old love-sonnets and verses. It would be fun to share the verses with our husbands or even to secretly practice them.  Remember the day when your husband said, “Come live with me and be my love”?  He may not … [Read more...]

Goose Sense

January 31, 2011 by Guest Author 4 Comments

Sometime last year my husband had the opportunity to share a lesson with our local congregation.  He has one prepared that I like to call "old faithful".  Rarely does he get the chance to present a lesson, but when he does, this is the one he pulls out.  I really like this lesson, not only because … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
