Turn That Frown Upside Down

November 15, 2010 by Guest Author 3 Comments

We’ve all had those days. You don’t hear the alarm so you wake you late, as you try to get ready, you realize that your favorite blouse has a stain. As you try to unwrinkle your second favorite top you hear the unmistakable sound of  children arguing! “ALREADY?!” you ask yourself as you stumble down … [Read more...]

From The Heart of an Older Woman: Avoiding “Hey, Who Are You?”

November 11, 2010 by Tami Roberts 4 Comments

In Titus 2:4 the older women are first instructed to teach the younger women to love their husbands. Husbands are listed before their children.  I am watching so many couples my age fall apart as their children go off to college or get married and the couple finds themselves alone together. They … [Read more...]

Every Part Does Its Share

November 10, 2010 by Guest Author 4 Comments

Ephesians 4:16, "from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love." If a part of our physical body is missing, there is a function not … [Read more...]

The Crossroad

November 9, 2010 by Guest Author 1 Comment

Travelers choose between two roads in life: One purely pleasure, one with some strife. One road is narrow, and the other is wide And you, Christian, you must help them decide. These sad, empty pleasures soon lead to despair, Yet many still travel that road, unaware, Not knowing the … [Read more...]

The Attitude of Forgiveness

November 8, 2010 by Guest Author 1 Comment

We as Christians often hear others saying they will never forgive another for a slight or injustice. How often do we also find ourselves with a similar attitude?  Do we allow ourselves to harbor resentments or hold grudges?  Christians, although forgiven by Christ in baptism often fail to forgive … [Read more...]

From The Heart of an Older Woman: Did You Know I Was There, Lord?

November 4, 2010 by Tami Roberts

The discipline topic leads right into training your children for worship. I’m not sure that I actually “worshipped” the Lord from about 1980 until about 1992. I felt like I spent most of that time taking children in and out of worship service. Sometimes I wondered if God even knew I had been in … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
