Set Your Mind on Things Above

June 15, 2010 by Guest Author Leave a Comment

Why is it important for Christians to consciously focus on their heavenly goal?  Because it is much easier to focus on physical matters; they are simply more obvious.  We have things to do, people to take care of or “deal with,” as the occasion calls for it.  What are we supposed to do to maintain a … [Read more...]

Introduction to Exegesis (Part 3)

June 10, 2010 by Guest Author 7 Comments

Finding the WHY Now we get to the fun part! Finding the purpose of the book is our main goal in Biblical Exegesis. Why is the author writing this? What is he trying to communicate to those who are reading his letter? As good Bible students it is imperative that we find the author’s original … [Read more...]

The Wisdom of Daniel

June 9, 2010 by Kristy Huntsman 3 Comments

I recently went through the book of Daniel with our Wednesday night teen girl’s class, wanting them to understand all of the valuable lessons in the book about peer pressure and not conforming to an unholy society.  It is always amazing to me how God can take a book that you have been familiar with … [Read more...]

Power of Persuasion

June 8, 2010 by Erynn Sprouse 5 Comments

As kids in school, most of us got into trouble from time to time. Some of us even made that trouble. I was generally a good kid, but I remember once in the sixth grade when I got called down for passing notes. But we weren’t just passing them under the table (the teacher had already moved us apart … [Read more...]

June 3, 2010 by Guest Author 1 Comment

Step 1: Investigate The five Ws are used in all investigative efforts and we use them in Bible study as well.  Who?, What?, When?, Where?, and Why?  --These are the beginnings to the questions we must ask ourselves when approaching a book or letter in the New Testament (Note: we will first be … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
