Glow

October 25, 2011 by Guest Author 2 Comments

I had an amazing English teacher in Jr High named Mrs. Thomason.  She always had a warm and welcoming classroom, and every Friday she would tell us as we left “Have a good weekend, and go to Church on Sunday!” Her actions and words would scream “Christian” even though she really never proclaimed … [Read more...]

Joy Even in Darkest Times

October 24, 2011 by Guest Author 6 Comments

Have you ever cried tears of joy? I remember once when Aaron was just an infant of 12 days old; it was one of the most difficult times for Jon and I as parents. Seven days earlier we had rushed our sweet little baby into the ER after a long night of calling the hospital because he refused to eat and … [Read more...]

Waiting Through Perpetual Prayer

October 20, 2011 by Lacy Crowell 5 Comments

When my oldest daughter was eight days old--on my birthday, as it happens-- I went to check on her while she was napping only to find that she was barely breathing.  She had been congested for a few days, but I was young and a new mother and everyone I asked about it assured me that she was fine.  … [Read more...]

How to Deal with Dirt on Your Back

October 19, 2011 by Guest Author 4 Comments

One day a farmer´s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway, it just wasn´t worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to … [Read more...]

Thoughts for Bible Class Teachers

October 17, 2011 by Guest Author 7 Comments

I believe being a Bible school teacher is one of the most important and rewarding works we can sign up for. I started helping my mother teach a third grade class when I was in high school. That was my first experience in teaching a Bible class. I helped a little bit here and there in other classes, … [Read more...]

Those That Wait on the Lord

October 13, 2011 by Lacy Crowell 7 Comments

Did you know that the average person spends 41.6 hours per year waiting at red lights? Or that we spend about 121.3 hours per year waiting in lines at doctors’ offices, at the grocery check out, etc?  That equates to 120 days waiting at red lights in the average lifetime, and 404 days waiting in … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
