The Proverbs 31 Woman: Part 1

September 29, 2011 by Guest Author 13 Comments

She is the portrait of a virtuous woman. We know the popular verses that tell us she is “far above rubies” and that “a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.” But we also learn from her how to be a good wife, mother and neighbor. We learn how to use our hands for service to others and the … [Read more...]

God’s Beauty– As Seen Through My Child’s Eyes

September 28, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

I watched my son play outside today and I rediscovered God’s beauty that is all around. For he picked up every leaf and smiled with delight at each new treasure he found. Then he saw a squirrel scamper up a tree and he watched the clouds float away. He was thrilled when our large cat came … [Read more...]

Of Wheat and Tares

September 27, 2011 by Guest Author 5 Comments

In Matthew 13, Jesus makes an interesting comparison between the world in which the church exists, and the frustration of a field full of weeds.  He gives the parable in verses 24-30, then explains it in verses 36-43.  Now, I’m not much of a gardener.  My first attempts at helping my aunt with the … [Read more...]

A Dozen and One Instructions for Prayer

September 26, 2011 by Erynn Sprouse 2 Comments

It has been said that a watchmaker makes watches, a candlemaker makes candles and a Christian prays. Prayer is one of the most important aspects of a Christian's life. Here are a few commands on the subject of prayer. Ready to study? Get out your Bible and read each passage, taking notes on how you … [Read more...]

What I Really Meant to Say

September 22, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

While finishing up the semester, I was reminded of one of my first college classes. I was a senior in high school and taking a college history class, mainly so I could get out of school early. My professor was obviously knowledgeable in the subject and taught in a way I had never experienced. … [Read more...]

Encouraging One Another

September 21, 2011 by Guest Author 12 Comments

"For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
