Just Like Rahab

September 6, 2011 by Guest Author 4 Comments

I want my daughters to grow up to be just like a prostitute. But not just any prostitute, I want them to be just like Rahab. And here’s a little secret…I hope they see a lot of Rahab in me too. What’s so great about Rahab that I want my daughter’s to emulate her? Follow her story with me in Joshua … [Read more...]

Facebook and Modesty

September 5, 2011 by Guest Author 22 Comments

Before I begin, I want you to know I have wanted to write about this for a while, but I have been hesitant to. Why? Well, I obviously am aware of how many people I may offend. This is a subject that I know several people will find offensive and want to dispute my feelings, but after much … [Read more...]

Hospitality- Be Creative, Be Frugal

September 1, 2011 by Guest Author 5 Comments

In the third lesson of this series, I gave some ideas of how you and your family can work together to be hospitable.  Often, it can be difficult to have people in your home regularly due simply to family finances.  What if your husband does not make much money and you are trying to be a good steward … [Read more...]

In Search of Truth

August 31, 2011 by Guest Author 6 Comments

I was raised a 4th generation Pentecostal in the United Pentecostal Church (UPC). Some of you know it as the “wear skirts all the time, no make-up and no TV” church. When I met my husband I was attending a United Pentecostal Church and he was attending the church of Christ. I was instantly drawn … [Read more...]

A Plentiful Harvest

Galatians 6:9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. It is a time of great harvest in Bellvue, Colorado right now. The garden behind my house and the Pleasant Valley church building is full of yellow squash, cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini, … [Read more...]

Hospitality Can Be a Family Affair

August 25, 2011 by Guest Author 4 Comments

In the 2nd article of this series of lessons, it was noted that hospitality was not a matter of “entertaining,” but rather, of serving through loving God’s children.  The people in my life who have done this the best and who I would like to model myself after are those who make me feel comfortable … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
