Spiritual Blessings

July 20, 2011 by Guest Author 7 Comments

Who hasn’t been affected by the green-eyed monster?  Jealousy is one of those sins that starts as a tiny little blot, but if not removed will fester and grow like a cancer on our hearts.  "For where there is jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing." (James 3:16). … [Read more...]

A Pain So Deep

July 19, 2011 by Guest Author 6 Comments

Sitting in a doctors office waiting for the news, knowing that it won't be just what I want to hear. What mother deserves to hear it? What child deserves to die? Knowing my thoughts were selfish, knowing my babies would go sit next to God, I couldn’t help but feel a little angry, a little … [Read more...]

The Best or the Worst?

We each need to make the choice: to make the best or the worst of what we see in others. What do we truly want to see?  Do we have blinders on and can only see one way?  “There is so much good in the worst of us, And so much bad in the best of us, that it hardly becomes any of us, to talk about the … [Read more...]

Others Before Self (Part 1 of 4)

July 14, 2011 by Guest Author 5 Comments

I love the Bible. And I really love the book of Philippians. Philippians is a really simple book that is somehow still lost on most of the religious world. A lot of the denominational world will tell you that Philippians is a book full of joy and praise from the Apostle Paul to the church at … [Read more...]

Family Heritage

July 13, 2011 by Guest Author 4 Comments

On July 4th I was given my soon-to-be-husband's great grandmother's ring along with a marriage proposal. After saying "yes", I had time to admire my beautiful ring. As a family heirloom, it represents the history of a family I will soon be a part of. I could not be more honored. The more I think … [Read more...]

You’re So Vain!

July 12, 2011 by Guest Author 5 Comments

A couple years ago I was waiting in the parking lot for my husband to get out of the store. I was sitting there getting bored when a young woman, who was in the car right in front of me, caught my attention. She was all fixed up and like me, was waiting for someone (I am guessing her date) to get … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
