Waiting Through Perpetual Prayer

October 20, 2011 by Lacy Crowell 5 Comments

When my oldest daughter was eight days old--on my birthday, as it happens-- I went to check on her while she was napping only to find that she was barely breathing.  She had been congested for a few days, but I was young and a new mother and everyone I asked about it assured me that she was fine.  … [Read more...]

How to Deal with Dirt on Your Back

October 19, 2011 by Guest Author 4 Comments

One day a farmer´s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway, it just wasn´t worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to … [Read more...]

Thoughts for Bible Class Teachers

October 17, 2011 by Guest Author 7 Comments

I believe being a Bible school teacher is one of the most important and rewarding works we can sign up for. I started helping my mother teach a third grade class when I was in high school. That was my first experience in teaching a Bible class. I helped a little bit here and there in other classes, … [Read more...]

Those That Wait on the Lord

October 13, 2011 by Lacy Crowell 7 Comments

Or that we spend about 121.3 hours per year waiting in lines at doctors’ offices, at the grocery check out, etc?  That equates to 120 days waiting at red lights in the average lifetime, and 404 days waiting in … [Read more...]

What Happens When We Assume?

October 12, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

I wonder how many friendships are ended because of it, how many marriages are dissolved, how many churches have split over it, or the families destroyed because it has found a home there. The name of this destroyer is assumption. We’ve all been guilty of it and will be again. Webster’s Dictionary … [Read more...]

October 11, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

I remember coming home from the first date I had with Britton and thinking that I was going to marry him someday because over dinner, he said he was interested in foreign mission work. It was at that moment I decided we needed to be together. Five years later and married, Britton and I still talk … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
