Training Children for Worship (Part 2)

December 20, 2010 by Guest Author 3 Comments

Click here for Part 1  Pre-Readers One fun way to teach the different functions of worship is to “play worship” at home. The children love to set up the living room as a worship service and pretend to be Sunday morning worship with all the different parts. Explain from the Bible what we do … [Read more...]

From The Heart of an Older Woman: Where’s Waldo?

December 16, 2010 by Tami Roberts 1 Comment

A couple of weeks ago we had Waldo come home from college for the holidays. It was Sunday morning and Waldo never showed up for Bible class or worship service. His parents were asking, “Where’s Waldo?” They got home to find Waldo visiting with old high school friends. After the friends left, Waldo’s … [Read more...]

Women often complain that their husbands have trouble expressing love to them. Some men live by the old saying, “I told you when we married that I loved you, and if I ever change my mind, I’ll let you know.” Some men say they don’t like all that emotional stuff and that they are uncomfortable with … [Read more...]

Did You Know?

December 14, 2010 by Guest Author 3 Comments

I've been researching Christmas and this is just a small bit of information I have found (there is indeed much more)... Did you know? Jesus was more than likely not born in the winter time. Luke 2:8 records that shepherds were in the field with their flocks at the time of Jesus' birth, but such … [Read more...]

Training Children During Worship (Part 1)

December 13, 2010 by Guest Author 11 Comments

I am the mommy of nine wonderful children. God happened to save the last two littlest ones for our older age and they happen to be two precious, rambunctious four and seven year old boys. To say that they have stretched the limits of our patience, at times, would be an understatement. If you were to … [Read more...]

As Christian mothers we all want to raise faithful children.  I want to give you some practical tips to help you do that.  These I have learned by what has worked, not only with my children, but what I have seen in others. Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
