The Price

"Stop it, just stop it!" I wanted to scream. Don't do this for me-- I'm not worth your pain. I watched as they beat and spat in your face, So I could be saved by God's loving grace. I put you there on Calvary's Tree No other's to blame, no one but me. They scourged and they ripped your … [Read more...]

Spiritual Boot Camp

July 19, 2010 by Guest Author 3 Comments

How many of us have ever been in a war zone? If we were all in a room together, maybe a couple of hands would go up, or maybe none. I think it’s safe to say that as a modern-day American, if you haven’t served in the military, you’ve never been in the thick of a battle, or at least you’ve never seen … [Read more...]

Grammar Can Be Fun: Imperatives and Participles Finding interesting grammatical or syntactical points doesn’t sound like much fun right? The very word grammar may cause some to be tempted to skip this article all together. When most people think of grammar they think of sentence diagramming, … [Read more...]

That I Have Lived

July 12, 2010 by Guest Author 4 Comments

(a poem of appreciation for the elderly in our congregations) These wrinkles are the hands of time, The journeys I've been on They've seen me through a thousand days, And ev'ry victory won These fragile hands, with exposed bones, Are not a fearful sight But rather, they, my faithful … [Read more...]

“For I know the plans I have for you…”

July 8, 2010 by Guest Author 2 Comments

Wow. Life. It never ceases to amaze me. We think we're headed one direction, and suddenly we're headed 180 degrees in the other direction. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. So many times I've had plans that were pretty good plans, or at least I thought so at the time. And God said no. … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
