There Goes My Life

June 1, 2011 by Lacy Crowell 12 Comments

The summer between my sophomore and junior year of high school, a barely 16-year old girl walked into the band hall and informed the director that she had to forego her private All-State training.  The reason?  She was pregnant.  This girl was the granddaughter of a faithful elder in the church, the … [Read more...]

Goin’ Courtin’!

May 31, 2011 by Guest Author 13 Comments

Every young girl dreams of her happily ever after! We all want our Prince Charming to sweep us away and then to live happily ever after! I believe a majority in this world could find their “soul mate” and true love with a lot less heartache and past regrets.  As Christians, we try to make God the … [Read more...]

Courtship?!

May 30, 2011 by Lacy Crowell 12 Comments

36.9%.  What would you say if I told you that this is the percentage of sexually active FOURTEEN YEAR OLDS in America, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics as cited in an online article? What if I were to tell you that according to FOX News, 22 out of every 1,000 girls ages 15 to 17 … [Read more...]

America: Home of the Gay? (Part 3 of 3)

May 26, 2011 by Guest Author 5 Comments

Part Three: “Neither do I condemn you”: how to love the sinner, but hate the sin of homosexuality Last week, I got really angry. It wasn’t a slow, simmering, internal anger, either. I shouted and said mean things. Thankfully, my husband let me cool off. He didn’t fight back or call me names. He … [Read more...]

Are You Easily Offended?

May 25, 2011 by Kristy Huntsman 3 Comments

A while ago I was sitting in a Bible class when the question was posed by the teacher: “How would you handle the situation if you took offense to something your preacher or teacher said in a class or sermon?”  I was a little taken aback at the responses.  Most everyone’s initial response was to go … [Read more...]

Wanting to Make Him Happy

May 24, 2011 by Guest Author 15 Comments

For some odd (but sweet) reason my husband loves the big, frizzy, curly mess that is my hair. When the time comes that my hair is too out of control and I go to get it trimmed, he makes sure to tell me that he really wishes that I would not get it cut short or thinned. A couple of months ago my hair … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
