Was Blind But Now I See

October 13, 2010 by Guest Author 3 Comments

I was reading my Bible recently when I came across the account in John 9 about the blind man at the pool of Siloam. The first few verses hit me pretty hard. They read: “As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth.  And His disciples asked Him, ‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he … [Read more...]

Dinner Santa: Bring dinner to a struggling family. Make sure it’s freezer-friendly in case they have that day’s meals ready before you arrive. It takes a village: Sit with a young mother during services and help train her child(ren). Java fellowship: Invite someone out to coffee… or in for … [Read more...]

Simple

October 11, 2010 by Guest Author 4 Comments

As a child, my life was all about growing up.  I couldn’t wait to turn the next age.  Two weeks past my ninth birthday, I think I was calling myself “9 ½.”  A couple months later, I was “almost 10.”  As I approach another birthday, I realize that I stopped paying that much attention to how old I … [Read more...]

From the Heart of an Older Woman (Intro)

October 7, 2010 by Tami Roberts 6 Comments

Recently I found myself surrounded by younger women and I kept hearing them say that they really want and desire the older women to teach them.  I thought back to when I was a young woman and all of the wonderful older women that have been in my life.  Women that shared tons of practical wisdom with … [Read more...]

Homemaking for God

October 6, 2010 by Guest Author 7 Comments

There was a time in history that managing a home was considered a worthy occupation.  It was important for a mother to teach her daughter(s) the skills of running an efficient and happy household.  Today if your daughter desires to be a homemaker, the world has to offer their biased and unsolicited … [Read more...]

"Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray." Luke 5:16 Spend one minute each on the following 12 areas of prayer, and you will have prayed for 12 minutes. Spend two minutes on each and you will have prayed for almost half an hour. Spending five minutes on each area will … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
