A few years ago I read Francis Chan’s book Crazy Love, and it totally changed how I see Christian discipleship. Chan’s book explains how saying “lukewarm Christian” is an oxymoron- Christians are either deeply in love with God, or not Christ-followers at all. The book explains how our day-to-day … [Read more...]
A Character Study of Paul
Paul perhaps might be one of the best character studies that one can do from Scripture. He was a murderer, persecutor, and an overall disobedient man in the eyes of God. One of the first accounts we read about Paul is when he is consenting to Stephen’s death. Acts 8:1, “Now Saul was consenting to … [Read more...]
Noticing the Unnoticed: the Mother of Mary
The Bible contains a great many accounts, several of which pertain to mothers. While attending Future Teachers’ Training Camp, one year we dedicated our time to studying women’s role. My assigned lesson topic was Jochebed, the mother of Moses. As I was studying, I quickly learned that scripture … [Read more...]
“Unclean, Unclean!” – The Cry of a Modern Day Leper
Imagine with me for a moment that you’re a leper in the times of the New Testament. Not only are you battling this painful illness, you’re battling it alone. You can’t live in town with your family, you can’t go into the public spaces, you can’t even enter the temple to worship. Not only that, but … [Read more...]

Being Comfortable with Spiritual Questions
James 1:5-8 Over the last six months, I have been at a stage in my life where I have questioned many aspects of my faith. The one that sticks out in my mind the most was last September, when I questioned whether I knew enough at age 10 to be rightly baptized. I spent three straight days holed up … [Read more...]

Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
