Traveling Light?

Traveling Light?
What is a traveling light? It’s an individual light that travels. It goes all around and lights up a small area by using its OWN abilities to shine its OWN light in the darkness.
John 8:12 NASB “Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.””
Jesus IS…the LIGHT! The world has been in darkness and full of evil since not long after the beginning. Literally the only things that are “good” in our lives are Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit!
Mark 10:18 NASB “And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.”
So literally Jesus is our only goodness AND light in the darkness! Now imagine, if you will, a gigantic skyscraper-sized lamp on a hill, and us as these little ants in the darkness. At first in our lives, we are not in the direct lamplight because that’s a choice WE have to make when we’re older, but from the very beginning of our lives we will always be able to see our good God’s light shining. When the gigantic lamp is on a hill, it will light up everywhere and everything near it. When we as tiny ants choose to follow the LIGHT, we then find ourselves on the hill also, and by doing so Jesus’ light only seems brighter. The more ants on the hill, the brighter and more attractive that light becomes to everyone around! So we can’t think of ourselves as a single individual light whose OWN actions attract others to OUR light. We have the “light of life” (John 8:12), meaning our LITTLE lives can reflect Jesus’ BIG light. So really we aren’t traveling lights at all, we are TRAVELING MIRRORS, who reflect Jesus’ light!
So today and every day, as you go out, stay home, or travel, let your mirror reflect Jesus’ perfect, peaceful, and powerful LIGHT! The more of us that reflect Jesus’ light, the brighter the light will seem! Your little mirror makes a HUGE difference! Be a TRAVELING MIRROR!

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
