Teaching Children to Pray

December 12, 2012 by Guest Author 5 Comments

As parents our mandate to “train up a child...” (Proverbs 22:6) should go further than taking them to church. Our children need to be well trained in all areas of the life of a Christian. This means in Bible Study, evangelism, and benevolence. Sometimes there is one area that is overlooked. That is, … [Read more...]

Do you ever feel like your mind wanders off in different directions as you are praying? As a Christian woman, I want my prayers to be focused and purposeful, yet still pour out my heart to God. Throughout the day, I find myself thanking God, singing to Him, or stopping to offer up a prayer for … [Read more...]

There Is a Time for Everything

December 4, 2012 by Guest Author 2 Comments

Sometimes prayer is like eating broccoli, spinach, and lima beans. You know it’s good for you, but some days it’s just really hard to fit it on your plate, especially when your plate is already full of children, husband, church activities, job, housekeeping, and more. Unlike green vegetables, … [Read more...]

How to Ensure Your Prayers are Heard

December 3, 2012 by Lacy Crowell 1 Comment

Prayer is a vital part of any Christian’s life. I know for me personally, when I am really struggling with having a negative attitude, being snappy with my hubby or kiddos, or even struggling physically with feeling tired and worn-out, nine times out of 10 my recent prayer life has been lacking. Book Review: Because I Said So

November 28, 2012 by Erynn Sprouse 22 Comments

“Because I Said So” by Celine Sparks is one part humor, one part tribute to her mother, two parts Bible study, and at least one part toe-stepping. Sparks takes Momma’s old sayings and pulls the Biblical truths from them. There are plenty of scripture references (both direct and indirect), … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
