This month, we’re featuring Alma Fredman and her Walker Box ministry. Maybe you know someone who could use a box too! Maybe you know a few someones and you’d like to share in her ministry. Alma kindly shows us how to make a Walker Box in this tutorial.
How To Make a Walker Box
Supply List:
Box (Dimensions: 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 inches long, 5 1/2 to 7 inches deep)
2 hangers (wire pants hangers work best)
Fabric (1/2 yard)
Clear plastic bag (like one the Sunday paper comes in)
Duct tape
Cardboard to fit in the bottom of the box (the lid to the box works well)
Elmer’s Glue
Instructions:

1. Cut the hangers about halfway down on each side, and then bend them so that they will fit into each end of the box.
2. Fit bent hangers into box and duct tape in place.
3. Cover the box in fabric, and glue it down on the inside
4. Cover a scrap of cardboard in fabric and cover it in plastic to line the bottom of the box for easy clean-up.
5. Repeat and deliver to someone in need!
