Bible Marking: Soul Winning

“I want to be a soul winner for Jesus every day.”  The words to this song by James W. Ferrill are convicting!  Yes, we want to think souls.  We want to see them as Jesus does.  We want to go to Heaven and take others with us.  This Bible-marking topic encourages us to remember to be more evangelistic in our day to day lives.

Soul-winning- Prov. 11:30

These poetic words teach us that righteous living bears fruit.  The “tree of life” is also mentioned in Revelation 22 as waiting for those enter the heavenly city.  Underline “he who wins souls is wise,” and in the margin write, “So what am I if I don’t win souls?”  At the end of the verse, write Dan. 12:3.

From the previous verses in the chapter, we see that these words to Daniel have to do with everlasting life.  Circle “those who are wise” and underline “shine.”  Then underline “those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.”  Winning souls is shining the Light for eternity.  At the end of the verse, write Ezek. 3:18, 19.

This entire chapter is about the role of the watchman.  Underline the words “warning,” “speak,” “save his life,” and “warn the wicked.”  Whether or not we think they’ll listen, God wants us to warn the lost.  At the end of the verse, write Ezek. 33:6-8.

Underline all of verse eight.  At the end of the verse, write Matt. 4:19.

Underline the words of Jesus, and write in the margin, “If I’m not fishing, who am I following?”  At the end of the verse, write 2 Cor. 5:10, 11.

Circle “judgement seat of Christ” in verse 10 and “terror” in verse 11.  Draw a line connecting the two.  Then underline “Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.”  At the end of the verse, write Lk. 14:23.

Underline “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”  At the end of the verse, write Mk. 16:15.

Underline “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”  At the end of the verse, write Matt. 28:19.

Underline “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”  At the end of the verse, write John 4:35,36.

Underline “Lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!  And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.”  At the end of the verse, write Ac. 5:42.

And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

Draw a square around “daily,” and underline “in the temple,” “in every house,” “teaching,” and “preaching Jesus as the Christ.”  At the end of the verse, write Matt. 9:35-38.

Underline “teaching” and “preaching the gospel” in verse 35.  In verse 36, underline “He saw” and “He was moved with compassion.”  In the margin, write “How Jesus sees the lost.”  In the margin next to verse 38, write, “Am I answering that prayer?”  At the end of the verse, write James 5:19,20.

Underline “turns” in verse 19 and “turns a sinner,” and “save a soul” in verse 20.  At the end of the verse, write Lk. 24:46-49.

Underline “repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations” in verse 47.  At the end of verse 49, write Ac. 8:4.

Underline “went everywhere preaching the word.”  In verse 1, circle “a great persecution” and underline “they were all scattered.”  Draw a line from those two phrases in verse 1 down to the underlined phrase in verse 4.  At the end of the verse, write Lk. 19:10.

Underline “to seek” and “to save.”  In the margin write, “To be Christ-like.”

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
