Judges 2:14-16
Then the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He handed them over to plunderers, and they plundered them; and He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand against their enemies. Wherever they went, the hand of the Lord was against them for evil, as the Lord had spoken and just as the Lord had sworn to them, so that they were severely distressed.
Then the Lord raised up judges
who saved them from the hands of those who plundered them.

How many of you out there like thrift stores? I do!
These second hand stores are perfect to find something to Perk Up Your Kid’s Bible Class!
I am always on the look out for Bible class visual aids and this time I happened to find something that had been on my list for quite a while.
One of those large, hard cover, book boxes that opens up for storing different items inside.
This one just happens to be large enough to use medium size Bible props/pictures having to do with our Bible lesson!
I just thought it was a beautiful, useful find and wanted to share!
The title on the spine and front will be covered to say Bible Lesson Clues.
With my upcoming lessons on the Judges, I will now keep my eyes open for little props to use as clues about something in each lesson!
The beauty of this prop is that it will work with any lesson of the Bible!
What an amazing second hand surprise!!
So think again before getting rid of that book box!
Before I found this “book” I was seriously thinking about creating one from cardboard, (maybe a cereal box) paper, and hot glue. A project such as this is possible but now that I have this to use I won’t have to dig into my stash of cardboard.
After I found this “book” I was in Hobby Lobby and saw a section at the mid. front of the store that had these same style books for sale. Brand new they were priced $29.99. (You could wait for their 50% off day, but I think I got a really great deal!)
If you know of a carpenter in your midst I bet they would be thrilled to help you by creating a Bible box Prop with hinges just for you!

She enjoys opening the Word of God with various ages, but children are one of her all-time favorites. Gwen has had the pleasure of putting the Word into the hearts of children for over 40 years and loves it still! Gwen also loves to conduct personal home Bible studies.
Gwen has been married to her husband Dan for over 45 years. He has been the pulpit minister at the Owasso Church of Christ in Owasso Oklahoma for over 26 years. They both love working with this congregation. They are richly blessed with 3 grown children who along with their spouses love and serve in the Lord’s kingdom in various ways. Gwen and Dan are even further blessed to have Jonathan, Matthew, Micaiah, Lydia, and Esther Rose join the ranks making them Grandma/Nina and Opa!
Gwen enjoys lectureships, outdoors, good movies, reading, crafting/sewing, organizing, pizza, and a comfortable chair.
