Almost Heaven

May 26, 2014 by Guest Author 7 Comments

I was born and raised in the great state of West Virginia. I love to go back home to visit my family and this June I get to spend a little time in a place that has been enshrined in a song as “Almost Heaven”. I don’t remember streets of gold, but some were brick. I don’t remember there being no … [Read more...]

Divine Percolations: Worrying about Worrying?

May 22, 2014 by Guest Author 2 Comments

“You're a worrier.” This was the assessment rightfully attributed to me at a young age. It was fitting, as worrying about everything came easy to me. I was even an equal opportunity worrier. There was usually something I perceived as bad I could worry about, but if for some reason there wasn’t, … [Read more...]

From the Heart of an Older Woman: Respect for God or for the World?

May 14, 2014 by Guest Author 9 Comments

It is becoming increasingly alarming to note the number of Christian women who are showing little or no respect to God by the way they dress.  Many have decided modesty is "a personal opinion," and no one has the right to tell them how to dress. However, God DOES have the right to tell us how to … [Read more...]

Lessons from Mom

May 12, 2014 by Guest Author 2 Comments

“All that I am, or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel mother,” Abraham Lincoln. I share the sentiments of Mr. Lincoln. As May comes around and our country sets aside a day to honor mothers, I realize how very much God blessed me with a godly mother. There are countless lessons she taught me, and not … [Read more...]

Bible Marking: The Power of Prayer

May 7, 2014 by Kathy Pollard 12 Comments

New To Bible Marking? CLICK HERE Prayer is one of the dearest blessings Christians enjoy.  We cherish our communication with the Father.  He speaks to us through His Word and we speak to Him through prayer.  Can you imagine a life without prayer?  Or even a day?  The purpose of this Bible-marking … [Read more...]

Power

May 5, 2014 by Guest Author Leave a Comment

We use our electricity every day. It runs everything in our house, from the computer that I'm typing this on to the coffee pot that brewed the cup of coffee that I'm drinking. It is something that is around us all the time. We don't often realize how much we use it until the power goes out. Have you … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
