Iron Sharpens Iron

March 19, 2012 by Guest Author 5 Comments

A christian once told me if my faith does not increase, it will decrease.  Although I hate to admit it, they were right and it has happened to me: my faith decreases, then increases, then decreases again, I take one step forward and two steps backward, and I even start to justify why I do things I … [Read more...]

Does Jesus Care?

March 14, 2012 by Guest Author 4 Comments

In a world where conflict and pain are inevitable contributors to life, sometimes we feel like just giving up. The stress is too much, or we’re too tired to go on, or we get scared or worried about the future (or maybe the past). The list goes on and on. Numerous events in our lives can pull us … [Read more...]

Respect in Your Interactions

March 7, 2012 by Erynn Sprouse 7 Comments

Editor’s Note: This series on respect is based on Ephesians 5:33 where wives are commanded to respect their husbands. Yes, the husbands are commanded to love their wives, but we’ll leave that for someone else to discuss (this is a site for ladies, after all). We’re figuring out what respect looks … [Read more...]

Pearls Before Swine

March 5, 2012 by Lacy Crowell 4 Comments

I really love the beautiful ironies that can be found in Scripture.  These are the Scriptures that when people just glance at them they say, “That’s a contradiction!”  My favorite/least favorite ironic passage is Matthew 7:1-6.  Verse 1 reads (ESV), “Judge not, that you be not judged.”  Verse 6 … [Read more...]

Respect in Communication

February 29, 2012 by Erynn Sprouse 16 Comments

Think for just a moment about some of our culture’s favorite TV shows. How are the men portrayed? The typical TV father is a bumbling fool who doesn’t actually care much about his kids or his wife. He’s self-centered, oblivious of those around him and has to be bailed out of a jam every episode. Now … [Read more...]

If You Want It Done Right, Do it Yourself

February 27, 2012 by Guest Author 7 Comments

There are some things in this life we must do that nobody else can do for us, in order to be right. No one can study for a test for you, no one can take a test for you, and no one can do your exercising for you, except you!  If my son studied really hard for his sister's test, what kind of grade do … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
