God’s Gift

August 16, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

As God's people I believe we have a great opportunity to help those around us treasure what God treasures. Many things that are valuable to God are not seen through His eyes by the people around us. We are His people and we need to see things through His eyes. One of the greatest gifts God has … [Read more...]

Cling!

August 15, 2011 by Guest Author 2 Comments

“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.” (Romans 12:9) Most Christians who read this passage probably think they are following it pretty well. Abhorring that which is evil is fairly easy. We watch the news and see all the wickedness and sin and we are disgusted. We … [Read more...]

What if I’m Not Blessed with the Gift of Hospitality?

August 11, 2011 by Guest Author 7 Comments

Is hospitality something that God requires of the Christian, or is it simply something nice to do for those you love or those that you enjoy entertaining? Is it an activity performed by only those who are gifted to cook great meals and able to afford luxuries such as expensive food and decorations? … [Read more...]

Go This Way!

August 10, 2011 by Guest Author 3 Comments

I have heard that they get paid pretty well. They sure look like they are having fun rocking out on the street corner with a huge arrow-shaped sign that can be tossed and spun in every direction. Do they get your attention? My 3-year-old son always notices them, even when I do not. The other day we … [Read more...]

The Past is the Past?

August 9, 2011 by Guest Author 6 Comments

“Did you hear about the mess that girl has gotten herself into?  She has no respect for her parents, no respect for this congregation, and no respect for God.  I cannot believe she can walk in here with that haughty look on her face while it is blatantly clear that she has to be at least five months … [Read more...]

The Strong-Willed Mom

August 8, 2011 by Guest Author 4 Comments

We’ve all heard this new term for a child who throws fits and won’t take instruction: “the strong-willed child.” But what about the strong-willed mom? There are times when my daughter tells me she’s sorry for something she’s done, but I’m still so exasperated with her or set on punishing her for … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
