Wisdom of Women: Ruth

September 9, 2010 by Guest Author 1 Comment

As I set my Bible down after reading the book of Ruth, one word comes to mind: loyalty.  Ruth was loyal and her loyalty was noticed my many.  Ruth was from the land of Moab. She married Mahlon, the son of Elimelech and Naomi, who were from the land of Judah (Tyndale Bible Dictionary).  After … [Read more...]

Prayer

Children suffer, families tumble, Guns explode, buildings crumble. Where were you, many ask, When children died in that flash. They blamed you then for that attack Though it was us who turned our backs. Your wing we left--took off on our own, We didn't care. If only we'd known. Your guidance … [Read more...]

Women In Missions

“I could tell you were an American woman before you spoke,” the young Russian woman said to me. “How could you determine that?” I asked. “Because you smile a lot,” she replied.  “Russian women do not smile much.  Life is so hard.” “What would you say if I told you I have … [Read more...]

Wisdom of Women: Eve

September 2, 2010 by Guest Author 2 Comments

I am waiting in line to check out at Super Walmart and instantly pick up Vanity Fair with Lady Gaga on the cover and start to flip through to see what they say about her.  After all, everyone is “gaga” for Lady Gaga.  After I start to read, I stop and ask myself, “What am I doing?” and put the … [Read more...]

Best Decision You’ll Ever Make

September 1, 2010 by Erynn Sprouse 3 Comments

Some preachers make a habit of trying to talk people out of being baptized. These men believe that baptism is necessary for salvation (as we discussed in The Good News), yet they try to talk souls out of this all-important step. Why would they do such a thing? Because making the decision to become a … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
