From the Heart of an Older Woman: I Raised You to be Faithful… Or Did I?

December 2, 2010 by Tami Roberts 4 Comments

Waldo is 19.  He’s gone off to college and has come home for the holidays.  It’s Sunday morning and his Mom comes in to wake him for Bible class.  He rolls over and says, “I’ll be there for worship.”  Mom wrings her hands and asks again but to no avail.  The family saves Waldo a place for worship … [Read more...]

Lessons I’ve Learned (Part 2)

December 1, 2010 by Guest Author 1 Comment

[Editor's note: click here for the first part] Now many years down the road of this earthly life, with a husband and 3 amazing children, I often reflect and feel as though I should be doing more.   “I should be reaching out more, working for the Lord more.  Where I would fit ‘the more’ part in…..I … [Read more...]

A Dozen and One Ways to Make Time for Bible Study

November 30, 2010 by Erynn Sprouse 8 Comments

Dagger in hand: The Bible is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) and a pocket-sized Bible is a dagger (or so we say around here). Carry a Bible with you... in your purse, in your car, on your phone, etc. Whip that puppy out whenever and wherever. Bonus: you might even start a conversation that … [Read more...]

Establishing Etiquette, Making Manners

November 29, 2010 by Guest Author 2 Comments

I came across an older article entitled, “Unclassified Laws of Etiquette: Important Rules of Conduct.” The author is unknown and the date is not mentioned.  While reading through, you can tell that the article must have been written around the beginning of the 20th century.  I really enjoyed the … [Read more...]

Lessons I’ve Learned

November 24, 2010 by Guest Author 2 Comments

Service to the Lord is an essential part of the Christian life,  There are times in life when one might feel like they are giving the Lord their very best, and then life changes and one has to re-adjust.  My ‘change’ was becoming a parent; not having all the time I wanted to serve the Lord as I did … [Read more...]

My Pocketbook Friend

November 23, 2010 by Guest Author 1 Comment

Many a time, when forced to wait, Though I, myself, had not been late, Finding myself with nothing to do Until I find what I always knew-- My little friend from my pocketbook! He seems so small, when first you look, But he's so much bigger than them all. Even though he looks so very small! I … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
