That I Have Lived

July 12, 2010 by Guest Author 4 Comments

(a poem of appreciation for the elderly in our congregations) These wrinkles are the hands of time, The journeys I've been on They've seen me through a thousand days, And ev'ry victory won These fragile hands, with exposed bones, Are not a fearful sight But rather, they, my faithful … [Read more...]

“For I know the plans I have for you…”

July 8, 2010 by Guest Author 2 Comments

Wow. Life. It never ceases to amaze me. We think we're headed one direction, and suddenly we're headed 180 degrees in the other direction. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. So many times I've had plans that were pretty good plans, or at least I thought so at the time. And God said no. … [Read more...]

Joy

He didn't write it with a pen, Or seal it with a kiss He left all life's enticing charms, And momentary bliss To walk the road to Calvary, And feel the endless pain Thinking never of His self, But what the world might gain He didn't write it with a pen, Or seal it with a kiss He … [Read more...]

In the Sight of God

July 5, 2010 by Guest Author 1 Comment

One of my favorite chapters in the New Testament is 1 Peter 3. While reading Peter’s inspired words, I could not help but dwell on the specific words in verse four that say: “…which is very precious in the sight of God.” Chapter four, verses 1-7 are a blessing to all godly women, but verse four … [Read more...]

Introduction to Exegesis (Part 6)

July 1, 2010 by Guest Author 2 Comments

Examining Yourself Take a step back now and be honest. Have you been using the techniques we have been talking about in this series in order to get deeper into God’s word? Are you striving to be a better student of God’s word? More importantly, have you been studying your Bible every day?  If you … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
