Come Out and Be Separate

February 15, 2021 by Kayla Barker Leave a Comment

The world rushes on about us,

Its cares and trials weigh heavily;

Our vision blurred, our minds awhirl –

Meanwhile, God says,

“Come out, and be separate.”

We long to uphold good in this world,

Yet unbelief still persists.

To us who hold our faith in Him,

Gently, God reminds:

“Come out, and be separate.”

Society abounds in sin,

Even moral leaders stumble;

We who claim righteousness know:

Our God still says,

“Come out, and be separate.”

Souls are shrouded in darkness,

Evil continues to blind;

But we are children of light,

To whom God assures,

“Come out, and be separate.”

This earth is Satan’s domain,

His sole desire is to deceive;

But we who belong to Christ hear

God’s voice once more:

“Come out, and be separate.”

Many try to worship idols,

Whether of heart, desire, or goods;

Because we are God’s true temple,

He calls to us again:

“Come out, and be separate.”

We seek freedom and justice,

And our rights to be upheld;

Yet if we should pledge loyalty,

“To Me,” God says.

“Come out, and be separate.”

“Come out from among them,” God pleads,

“From those who are not faithful;

I call and invite,

Will you be My separate people?”

“Your purpose lies in My mission,

To make My voice, not yours, be heard;

Be holy as I am –

Come out, and be separate.”

~

“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.’ Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.’ ‘I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.’”

2 Corinthians 6:14?-?18

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
