The Example of Thomas

August 8, 2016 by Marissa Teske Leave a Comment

If all of the original disciples of Jesus stood against a wall, two of them would stand out among the rest. Unfortunately, these two disciples would stand out because they are examples used to explain what not to be as a Christian. The first and most obvious disciple would be Judas. The second, and … [Read more...]

Lessons Learned While Traveling

I absolutely love traveling to new places. This summer I had a wonderful opportunity to travel to Dallas, Texas for a tournament with some of my best friends. While I was there, I learned a lot of lessons that will help me grow as a Christian and I wanted to share some of them with … [Read more...]

The Truth About Stewardship

July 29, 2016 by Guest Author 2 Comments

It was the spring of 1964.  I  was a sophomore mathematics major at East Texas State University.  I wanted to do more than just attend worship and the devotionals at the local Bible Chair, so I let the elders know my desire.  They responded quickly—cut out the pictures in the visual aids packet for … [Read more...]

James & Jude Lesson 4: James 2:1-13   Read James 2:1-13 At the end of chapter one we find James instructing his readers to seek a better religion that is pure and undefiled; one that is not worthless, but filled with actions that back words spoken. He does this by introducing the … [Read more...]

Don’t miss the Open Door

July 19, 2016 by Guest Author Leave a Comment

Several times throughout Paul’s writings, he references open doors - opportunities that the Lord made available to him during his ministry (I Cor. 16:9, II Cor. 2:12, Col. 4:3).  As praying Christian women, whether we use the phrase or not, we often pray for open doors.  We pray for job openings … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
