More Purpose in Prayer

January 14, 2016 by Guest Author 6 Comments

“Lord, teach us to pray.”  This request made by the disciples in Luke 11:1 should be our plea as well.  We could probably all make some improvements in this area of our lives - I know I can. As Christians, we need to be women of prayer. Not only at mealtime. Not only at bedtime. All the … [Read more...]

Confessions of a Miserable Comforter

January 12, 2016 by Guest Author 1 Comment

I think I get it now. I’m sorry it has taken me this long to figure it out. When I said you needed to try something new… When I said you needed to change your habits, change your attitude, try focusing outward… Even when I suggested you pray more fervently… I was wrong to say that. I’m only … [Read more...]

Prayer and the Millennial Girl: The Intimacy of Prayer

January 11, 2016 by Sarah Smith Leave a Comment

Are you happy with your prayer life? Because I’m not. In fact, I don’t think anyone can honestly say that they’re content with how frequently or deeply they talk to God on a daily basis. I know that I don’t pray as often as I could or should, and it definitely affects my life; if I prayed … [Read more...]

Prayer: Trusting God To Work in Our Lives

January 7, 2016 by Tami Roberts 1 Comment

I like to think of myself as a “prayer warrior”. I talk to the Father a lot. When I am joyful, I pray. When I am hurting, I pray. When I am confused, I pray. Before I make decisions in my life, I pray. When others ask, I pray. When I don’t know what else to do, I pray. So I find myself continually … [Read more...]

Learning History as His Story: Earth at the Time of Creation

January 7, 2016 by Abby Smith 3 Comments

For as long as I can remember, history has been my favorite school subject. I have history books on the bookshelf in my room, I even brought my history book to camp last summer for a bit of light reading. History is my favorite, because it’s fascinating. Reading about the past, and all the … [Read more...]

Bible Marking: True Peace

January 6, 2016 by Kathy Pollard 2 Comments

Neal Pryor said, “Our greatest need is for peace: peace with God, peace with ourselves, and peace with one another. Where the first of these is found, usually the other two can also be found.” As we read in the Bible, some are confused about peace. They cry, “Peace, peace, when there is no peace” … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
