Are You Distracted?

March 16, 2015 by Guest Author 1 Comment

Distractions are funny. They come in so many forms. I have two daughters—one is very logical, shy, and quiet while the other one is very talkative, outgoing, and busy. My outgoing daughter is known for beginning a conversation and then getting distracted by almost anything (I think she gets this … [Read more...]

Mary Rose and Me: Treasuring God’s Word

March 11, 2015 by Gwen Schnell 3 Comments

Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You. Psalm 119:11 Mary Rose rolled over in her cozy bed and blinked. Morning. It came just as fast as her mother told her it would. Spying her clothes and shoes that had been laid out the night before, she remembered. Sunday. … [Read more...]

Water For the Soul

March 9, 2015 by Guest Author 13 Comments

“People need encouragement – and a lot of it!”  I once heard a preacher say this in a sermon and I believe it:  we do need encouragement – and a lot of it.  In the Bible, we read about a man named Joseph who was also called Barnabas by the apostles.  The name Barnabas means “son of encouragement” – … [Read more...]

Bible Marking: Purity

March 4, 2015 by Kathy Pollard 8 Comments

New To Bible Marking? CLICK HERE Purity is one of those subjects that seems to get plenty of attention already, but with the release of "50 Shades of Grey" last month, I started thinking about the need to mark it in my Bible. And here's why--purity is not just a goal for the young and unmarried. … [Read more...]

In Christ Alone

I’ve only sung “In Christ Alone” once while visiting another congregation. Yet, its beautiful melody and even more impacting lyrics have found their way onto my list of favorite spiritual songs. I could never pick just one! “In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my light, my strength, my … [Read more...]

Divine Percolations: Learning to Respect our Husbands

February 26, 2015 by Guest Author 5 Comments

One approach to Bible study which can be especially helpful is found in asking questions of the passages to obtain greater insight. As part of a character study on Sarah, 1 Peter 3:5-6 (NKJV) was brought to my attention.   “For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
