What My Son Needs

April 4, 2012 by Guest Author 14 Comments

This morning I had the most overwhelming appointment with my doctor that I have ever experienced. 2 weeks ago I had my 20 week ultrasound. The doctor told me that all the vital organs looked fine but they would like to repeat the ultrasound. “We can’t visualize the lower spine,” she told me. I of … [Read more...]

What is Said When It’s All Said and Done

While my husband and I were in Perth, AU in December, we went for a short overnight trip to the Pinnacles, which are about a four hour drive north of Perth. On the way, we stopped at a café in the Park, and while Patrick did some work on his computer, I went for a walk. While walking I came across a … [Read more...]

Purposeful

In our yard we have two sweet gum trees. They are very large trees that provide us with lots of shade in the summer. In the fall the leaves turn beautiful shades of yellow, red and purple. They produce a "fruit" that we call gum balls. Not the gum balls you get out of a machine,(although my girls … [Read more...]

Red & Yellow, Black & White

The other day a good friend of mine was at the store with her son. As they were shopping, a lady stopped them & asked, “Aw, how old is your son?” To which my friend responded, “He’s three.” The lady then proceeded to ask, “And how long have you had him?” This question really threw my friend for … [Read more...]

Forgiveness

March 21, 2012 by Guest Author 8 Comments

People say that one of the hardest things in the world to do is apologize. But it could be said that one of the hardest things in the world is actually to forgive. Matthew 18:21-22 says, “Then Peter came to Him and said, ‘Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to … [Read more...]

Iron Sharpens Iron

March 19, 2012 by Guest Author 5 Comments

A christian once told me if my faith does not increase, it will decrease.  Although I hate to admit it, they were right and it has happened to me: my faith decreases, then increases, then decreases again, I take one step forward and two steps backward, and I even start to justify why I do things I … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
