I Sprayed Windex On The Brownies

November 1, 2010 by Guest Author 5 Comments

In a recent conversation with my sister-in-law, we were discussing how frustrating it can be to lose weight. She and I have always shared in our endeavors to eat well and exercise, but it is not easy for either of us. We have been on countless “fad” diets, watching calories, watching carbs, but we … [Read more...]

From the Heart of an Older Woman: There’s More To it Than a Hug and a Kiss!

October 28, 2010 by Tami Roberts 6 Comments

I have five children; the youngest is 21. I have done daycare for dozens of children. So I have had the opportunity to “experiment” on multiple children.  My children all have a strong love for the Lord. I have been told how lucky I am that my children turned out that way. I always respond … [Read more...]

Are We Builders or Destroyers?

October 27, 2010 by Guest Author 3 Comments

"To make one’s voice sweet, one’s face bright, one’s will steady, one’s patience unperturbed, in the arena of the home, in the light of one’s own family, is no light task.” –Margaret Sangster I came across this quote and it really made me think. Do I make my home a happy place to be? Do I have as … [Read more...]

What Will Be In Your Casket?

October 26, 2010 by Kathy Pollard 8 Comments

When my sister and I were young, Grandpa always knew how to cheer us up.  He would give us “happy pills.”  If I scraped my knee, the happy pills made me feel better.  If I was sad, Grandpa’s happy pills would instantly stop the tears.  Where can one find these powerful pills, you ask?  They can be … [Read more...]

From the Heart of an Older Woman: Of Course I Love Him! I Married Him!

October 21, 2010 by Tami Roberts 12 Comments

Loving your husbands sounds like something that just comes naturally to us. Of course I love him; I married him. But does your love for him show in your actions? Do others see that you love him? Is it the kind of love that lifts him up? Are you willing to put yourself aside to have harmony in your … [Read more...]

Eat, Pray, Love, Be Satisfied

October 20, 2010 by Guest Author 6 Comments

Growing up, I had a horrible attention span.  No matter where I was – school, church, home – it was difficult for me to listen to anyone longer than five minutes.  The saving grace for my parents and teachers was that fact that I loved to read.  I could sit with a book for hours upon hours and never … [Read more...]

Welcome to Come Fill Your Cup!

CFYC About Image Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by. Come Fill Your Cup is a group of Christian ladies dedicated to equipping women for study and service. We know you are busy and that life’s hectic pace pulls you in so many directions, but you can’t truly be the woman God desires unless you take time to fill your own cup…not with spa days (though we love a good spa!) or the latest novel…but with God’s Holy Word. We want to help you with that! Our goal is to reach you in the midst of your busy day and give you encouragement, education, and fellowship as you strive to live the life God has laid before you. Our prayer is that we can help fill your cup so that you, in turn, can overflow to all those around you. So, as we like to say…come fill your cup, and let it overflow!
